The Faded Page (Fill in the Blank, opens day 7)
A passage is missing a word. Type the missing word, or guess it letter by letter, depending on the day's mode.
The Cipher Door (Word Guess, opens day 21)
Guess the hidden word in six tries. Each guess tells you which letters are right and which sit in the wrong place.

Three fresh puzzles every day: The Masonry, always, and two companions by the day of the week. The Masonry also carries the week's shape, easing in on Monday and biting hardest at the end of it — but every day keeps one gentle way in, whatever the day is called.

Gold arrives for showing up, for solving, for the first play of a format each week, for hard puzzles, and for each full week of unbroken days. It buys construction in the keep and nothing else. It cannot be bought, and it cannot buy your way up the watch or onto the banner.
